Qipao/ Cheongsam Course

2 Levels of Options:

    (make one garment, choose own design):

• Prequisite: basic hand sew and machine operation skills. 

• A. Foundation - basic style, sleeveless, unlined qipao.

• B. Intermediate - Include lining, with or without sleeves or with fancier designs.

• We adopt mixed western and traditional tailoring techniques and tools (excluding traditional piping or Chinese frog buttons. We encourage students to be creative in modernizing the design of their own Cheongsam after acquiring basic skills; or even move up to more advanced courses of traditional artisanship.)

• Foundation: 9 -10.5 classes, 2 hrs each, total 18-21 hrs
  Intermediate: 8-9 classes, 3 hrs each, total 24-27 hrs.

• Student to bring all cotton fabric for the  course

• Homework: student should completel some simple basic tasks at home.

• Any add-on classes: $200/hr.
